    Description

      The work of LU-11850 will restore access of stats to non root users. The limitation to this approach is that external applications that want to harvest stats hate any c coding or linking into libraries. They want use scripts to scrap the data. To address this we can create python wrappers which means we can use python scripts to collect the stats.
