There are scenarios where it is valuable to purge all HSM actions of a specific type, rather than all HSM actions entirely.  The most potent example is purging all archive requests but not purging any ongoing restore work.

This is a new feature we've implemented internally and are upstreaming that provides the ability to purge just archives, just restores, or just removes.
