This issue relates to the following test suite run:

When running a custom session running with "Test-Parameters: mdscount=3 mdtcount=12" for patch https://review.whamcloud.com/56384 ("LU-14058 tests: clean up sanity.sh MDT name generation") test_181 crashed with the following stack trace. The "254" value is consistent across multiple test runs, so it appears to be a struct offset with a NULL pointer:
