symptom:

got this error msg "umount: /tmp/lustre-ost1: not mounted"

root cause:

for local device
"do_facet ost$devnum umount -d $dev" turns out to be "umount /tmp/lustre-ost1"
should be changed to
local mntpt=$(facet_mntpt ost$devnum)
do_facet ost$devnum umount -d $mntpt
