Similar to LU-4476 we need to investigate if there is something that actually needs to be done for linux process namespace on theserver and if so, create a patch for this support.

ok, so this was tracked under LU-4416 and LU-5058

agreed. with the landing of http://review.whamcloud.com/#/c/10161 and http://review.whamcloud.com/#/c/10325 I think this can be closed.

Now that http://review.whamcloud.com/#/c/10161 has been merged do we need to keep this tick open?

I'm fairly certain that we do in fact need a patch to extend the namespace changes done in LU-4476 into server code. In some experimental builds on future kernels I'm working around the lack of such changes by config'ing server kernels with CONFIG_UIDGID_STRICT_TYPE_CHECKS turned off, but that's not a good production solution.

I was assuming that LU-4476 was going to be held open and a follow on patch for server code would be coming along eventually from James Simmons, who did the LU-4476 changes for clients.
