The gerrit/checkpatch integration currently runs as a daemon process polling every five minutes but could instead be run as a gerrit job itself allowing it to be triggered.

The coding standards URL has also changed and it would be possible to set command line options allowing invocation of upstream checkpatch.pl if desired.
