          Seems that this is a known issue and is being worked on in LU-8117.

          Have you looked at what was reported at the end of config.log as requested above? We build the master branch for arch ppc64 every day, but it seems that we do not build the b2_8 release ranch. Also, we build for RHEL6.6 and not RHEL7.2, so there may be some errors we aren't seeing.

          I am trying to build PPC rpm's on RH7.2 I get the following error
          checking for /usr/src/kernels/3.10.0-327.el7.ppc64le/include/generated/autoconf.h... yes
          checking for /usr/src/kernels/3.10.0-327.el7.ppc64le/include/linux/version.h... yes
          checking for /usr/src/kernels/3.10.0-327.el7.ppc64le/include/linux/kconfig.h... yes
          checking for cross compilation... no
          checking for external module build target... M
          checking that modules can be built at all... no
          configure: error:

          Kernel modules cannot be built. Consult config.log for details.

          If you are trying to build with a kernel-source rpm,
          consult build/README.kernel-source

          I can succesfully build the binaries and run make install just cannot build rpm's for shipping.
