The public wiki page on building Lustre from source, https://wiki.hpdd.intel.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=8126821, is not correct for RHEL 7.1. I found several extra packages are needed and the location for getting the kernel source needs to change as RHEL is not making it available. Also, many of the make steps are no longer applicable.
