Description

I think that the following instruction in the "18.4. Restoring a File-Level Backup" (link) section of the manual are incorrect:

Note

If the restored system has a different NID from the backup system, please change the NID. For detail, please refer to Section 14.5, “ Changing a Server NID”. For example:

 

[oss]# mount -t lustre -o nosvc ${fsname}-ost/ost /mnt/ost
[oss]# lctl replace_nids ${fsname}-OSTxxxx $new_nids
[oss]# umount /mnt/ost

 

....

 

My understanding of "replace_nids" is that this can only be executed on the MGS. The described instructions above doesn't work for me.
