What is Lustre's current level of support for Linux namespaces?

I have been using namespaces on an HPC system, an have recently run into some issues. I have not been able to find any information on this other than the issue tracker showing some changes for conforming to kernel APIs, so it isn't clear to me if any issues I run into are bugs, or that there just hasn't been any work to support things yet.
