    Description

      mdsrate is an old test tool that was written by the Lustre developers for testing MDS performance, but it is not used by anyone. It would be better to replace the use of mdsrate in performance-sanity.sh with an equivalent mdtest run, which is much more useful for exercising code that users will actually be running.
